Forest School is all about educating children in the local natural environment and teaching them practical outside skills.

At Ladybird, our Forest School is to the side of the main pre-school building and that is where we conduct our lessons come wind, rain or sunshine.

Whilst at Forest School, children are encouraged to notice the natural world around them and they quickly learn to respect each other and their environment.

Forest School is an inclusive area and we encourage all children to enjoy it and take part. Lessons can easily be adapted to meet different needs, both to help support and to encourage their inquisitive minds.

Forest School asks for a voluntary contribution of £5 from every child attending the lessons on a termly basis (£15 for the year). This is so that we can plan and resource the best lessons possible. Please speak to Alex Sear (our Administration Manager) if this is a problem.

Your child is eligible for a Forest School session if they attend a minimum of 2 sessions a week at Ladybird Pre-School.
