Ladybird Forest Pre-School is a small friendly pre-school set in the market town of Ampthill. The aims of the pre-school are to provide a happy and stimulating environment for your child. We believe that each child should have equal opportunity and access to as many resources as we can provide. We encourage your child’s personal and social development and aim to increase his/her confidence through a variety of activities.

Ladybird Forest Pre-School Ampthill (registered name) became a limited company in October 2012 whilst still retaining charitable status. The charity is governed by a group of Directors – volunteers made up of parents/carers. Ladybird Forest Pre-school also has a Fundraising Committee that parents can get involved in. Once your child is at the setting please ask to become a member of our Ladybird Facebook page.

Ladybird Forest Pre-School operates out of a purpose-built portacabin in the grounds of Russell Lower School and we offer wrap-around care from 7.45 am to 6.00 pm, Mondays to Thursdays, and Fridays 7:45 am to 4:00 pm. We also run a ‘free flow’ system using our four rooms and the outside play area, which means that your child can choose where they want to be and which activities, they would like to take part in throughout the day.

We very much welcome parents/carers to get involved in your child’s setting.

COVID-19

Please read the latest risk assessment below. These measures have been put in place using Covid-19 guidance documents issued both by DfE and gov.uk and following consultation with our local authority. • Re social distancing for young children, the guidance states: “We know that, unlike older children and adults, early years and primary age children cannot be expected to remain 2m apart from each other and staff…. schools should therefore work through the hierarchy of measures set out in the guidance here.
