Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Setting Name: Ladybird Forest Pre-School

Location: Ampthill Bedfordshire

Salary: £11.15 hr

Hours: Monday- 8.30am-3.30pm- Tuesday Off-Wednesday 8.30am-3.30pm, Thursday 8.30am-3.30pm, Friday 8.30am-3.30pm Total hours 26.00 weekly hours term time only and the option of working Holiday Clubs

Contract Type: Permanent

To provide safe, high-quality education and care for Pre-School children; to fulfil legal and statutory requirements; to lead and motivate staff working alongside you.

Main Duties

  • Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive activities for children.
  • Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching the forest school experience to children.
  • Encourage children and show enthusiasm for Forest School Sessions
  • Demonstrate an awareness of Assessment for Characteristics of Effective Learning and identify the learning of all children, as appropriate.
  • Select and use a range of different resources and teaching styles, appropriate to the forest school experience.
  • Ensure that you are familiar with the Pre-School policies & Pre-School’s health and safety guidance and to positively support change across the setting.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to support the Pre-School in day-to-day activities.
  • Continue with your professional development and attend any relevant training as required.

Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children.
